Becoming A Man (BAM)
Group Mentoring for Middle School Boys

At DREAM, we believe every young man has the potential to rise, lead, and build a successful life—no matter where he starts.

The BAM (Becoming A Man) Program is designed for middle school boys growing up in low-income or high-risk environments. Through structured group mentoring, we provide the guidance, support, and real-life tools they need to navigate one of the most critical stages of their development.

Why Group Mentoring Works

Young men don’t grow in isolation—they grow in environments.

BAM creates a space that feels like a locker room, barbershop, and brotherhood—where students are comfortable, engaged, and challenged to grow.

Through group mentoring, students gain:

→ A strong sense of belonging – no one is navigating life alone
→ Positive peer influence – being around the right circle matters
→ Accountability – teammates push each other to improve
→ Confidence – built through shared experiences and growth
→ Real-world perspective – learning from mentors and peers
→ Communication and leadership skills – developed through interaction
→ Problem-solving ability – thinking through real-life situations together

More Than Mentoring — It’s a Brotherhood

BAM isn’t just a program. It’s a place where young men:

→ Build identity and self-confidence
→ Develop discipline and responsibility
→ Learn how to make better decisions
→ Gain exposure to future opportunities
→ Create a vision for their life

They don’t just improve individually—they grow together.

Why It Matters

Middle school is where direction is formed—and where many young men begin to lose it.

Without guidance, the risks increase.
With the right environment, everything changes.

The talent is there—but the guidance to navigate the journey is missing.
BAM provides that guidance.

Join the Brotherhood — At DREAM, we believe in the power of community to change lives. BAM is where boys become young men— confident, capable, and prepared for what’s next. 👉 Get involved. Get connected. Be part of BAM.
